Meet the Instructors

Curt Feece
Curt has been in the IT industry since 1989 and teaches our Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) classes.  He is currently the President of The Integration Group, which is an IT Services company that was founded by Curt and his business partner, Jim Leisring, in 1997.  Curt spent 17 years in the Army Reserve as an Artillery Officer but left the service when he and Jim started The Integration Group.  The Integration Group is Northern Indiana's premier IT services company and specializes in Microsoft technologies.  In 1996 Curt earned one of the highest certifications that Microsoft offers as a Microsoft Certified Trainer.  He has since maintained his Microsoft Certifications by adding additional high-end certifications including MCSE, MCDST, MCTS, and MCITP.  He is also President of Hoosier Driving Academy which is a high school driver's education school that he founded in 2003 with Greg Renz.  Curt is happily married and is the father of two girls and two boys and enjoys golfing, coaching soccer, and playing various first-person shooter games.  He is a self-proclaimed technology nerd who gets fired up over just about any new technology.

Dave Portteus
Dave has been a Microsoft Certified IT Professional since 2001.  He is our CompTIA A+ instructor and has been teaching this course for four years.  He has a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Purdue University.  He is especially qualified to teach this course because when he is not teaching, he is using his skills daily as a Network Engineer with The Integration Group.  Dave and his wife Aimee have three children and have lived in Plymouth since 2000.  He is an avid outdoorsman and has a special place in his heart for the Boilermakers.

Kathy Berg
Kathy has lived in Plymouth for 18 years with her immediate family. She is married with two daughters, who both attend Plymouth Schools.  Kathy attended Indiana University at South Bend for four years pursuing a science major.  She then transferred to Ivy Tech and graduated with an LPN certificate in 1996.  Kathy has been in the nursing profession since 1996.  She worked for four years in an extended care facility and left there only to have her second child.  Kathy returned to work in 2002 and changed the direction of her nursing career by working in the Emergency Department for seven years.  She has also served on various committees including NPCPC, Advisory Council, Quality Council, and several others.  Through her years in the Emergency Department she has gained valuable experience in all aspects of nursing care.  Kathy then returned to school to receive her WSII license which allowed her to teach her profession to high school students in the interest of expanding her resume and nursing knowledge.  She is very grateful for the opportunity to teach her students and feels that she learns as much from them as they do from her.  She thoroughly enjoys her students and finds the bonds she makes with each one of them priceless.  It is her greatest pleasure to open up the medical field to them and to help make a positive future for them and our society.
